Throughout history, Christians have treated the weeks leading up to Easter as a time of reflection and preparation. More specifically, this season of the Church's calendar is a built in time to reflect on the work of Christ on the cross.
This Sunday we begin a new sermon series called, On the Cross. In this series we will be looking at six major images the Bible uses to explain to us what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross. I invite you to join us in this 6-week journey which will culminate in Holy Week with our Tenebrae service on Thursday, March 29th and our Easter service on April 1st.
Understanding and embracing Christ's work for us on the cross and its implications are foundational in our mission of making whole-life disciples.
