NEXT RIGHT STEP

We realize that committing to a particular church body, if done wisely, can take a significant amount of time. This is particularly true at NewCity for a couple of reasons. First, the historic membership vows of our denomination are quite extensive and it takes time to understand all that they mean and to discern if God is calling you to say “I do”. Also, NewCity is a decentralized church. This means that members are not joining a worship service (for the weeks they’re in town) but are joining a missional body of believers who are constantly “being the church.”

The next right step for you could be to move on from NewCity so that you can keep searching for the church home God is leading you to. The last thing we want at NewCity is to have people here who God wants somewhere else. At the same time, we want to provide clear pathways and appropriate Next Steps for those God is wooing to join this particular body.
