Absolutely! Being less than four years old, NewCity, formerly CITYCHURCH, is in some ways still a Church Plant. At the same time, from day one, we have said that we want to be a church that is healthy enough to both grow and multiply. We have said from the beginning that we want to be A Church Planting Church Plant. We continue to ask God to make us a Church Planting Engine.

A Church-Planting Engine
A Church Planting Engine can REPEATEDLY and CONTINUALLY Recruit, Assess, Train, Send and Support Church Planters and Church Planting Teams. 2011 has been and is a significant year for us. In this budget year, our fourth year, we are investing well over $100,000 in the early developmental stages of building a Church Planting Engine. We are investing in everything from Church Planting Interns (who show the potential to plant in the future) to actual Church Planters in Global Cities around the world.

A Four-Fold Investment in Four Realms
With this said, Our investment in Church Planters, Church Planting Teams and Church Planting Churches goes beyond money. We believe that God has called us to invest four types of “capital” (relationships, prayer, training and money) into four realms (Downtown Orlando, Central Florida, Major Cities in North America and Global Cities around the World).
